The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Turner throws a leg kick but Ronan sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Turner moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Ronan misses the shot to the body.
Ronan misses with a wild body shot.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ronan.
Ronan misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Ronan tries for a kimura but Turner is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ronan grinds an elbow into Turner's temple.
You can see the frustration on Turner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Turner tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ronan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ronan throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Ronan scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Turner to see if he's OK.
Ronan throws a strike aimed at the side of Turner's head but Turner avoids it well.
Ronan tries to advance to mount but Turner denies him.

Ronan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Turner, who protects the arm well.

Ronan is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Turner is trying to escape and Ronan transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Turner is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ronan! Very nice indeed!
