Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jase Chapman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Caperville (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jase Chapman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Caperville! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chapman tries a head kick but it misses.
Chapman throws a body kick that misses. Caperville avoids the head kick by Chapman.
Caperville fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chapman sprawls well initially but Caperville persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Chapman lands a couple of sideways elbows. Chapman is refusing to be controlled, as Caperville sits in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chapman manages to get to full guard.
Caperville trying to control but Chapman is working from the bottom. Chapman throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Caperville wants to control from the top but Chapman keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. John Caperville was stalling too much, according to the referee. Caperville instigates a clinch. Caperville breaks from the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Caperville as Chapman shoots in. Caperville feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Chapman keeping moving, preventing Caperville from controlling successfully. Caperville stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chapman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Caperville looking to sit in guard and control but Chapman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caperville being controlled here, momentarily. Chapman passes Caperville's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Chapman is pressing down on Caperville's thigh, looking to free his foot. Caperville is holding on for now. Chapman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Caperville does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Caperville is looking to improve his position.
Chapman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chapman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Chapman prevents Caperville from improving his position. Chapman passes the guard and advances to mount! Caperville wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Chapman struggling to keep hold of the position.
I would not like to be Caperville right now.
Chapman wants to control but Caperville is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chapman is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Caperville is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Chapman has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Caperville is defending well but eventually Chapman manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Caperville has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
