Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Olli Kuhta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Montferrand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuhta kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Break Out. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montferrand connects with a nice looking jab.
Montferrand throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Joseph Montferrand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kuhta fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kuhta avoids a punch combination nicely.
Montferrand throws a poor cross that misses
and Kuhta counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Montferrand fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kuhta on the side of the head.

Kuhta decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Montferrand is trying is best to control the position here.
Kuhta wants to free his trapped foot but Montferrand is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Kuhta uses his free foot to push down on Montferrand's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Montferrand.
Kuhta tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kuhta is working for a guillotine from mount but Montferrand frees his head quite easily.
Kuhta forces the positional change into back control.

Montferrand is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Montferrand is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Kuhta off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
