Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maddox Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: We Built This City by Jefferson Starship on Grooveshark target=blank>We Built This City. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Maddox Hughes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Christian Harris! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris shoots in but no luck this time. Hughes scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Hughes wants to stand but Harris has his arm trapped. Harris is looking to reverse the position. Harris pushes Hughes away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hughes gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Hughes works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Hughes works to advance to full mount. Harris defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Hughes pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Harris is rocked! Harris is trying desperately to improve position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hughes dominating with strikes here. Harris is still in real trouble! Can Hughes finish him? Hughes controlling his opponent. Harris wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris breaks Hughes's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Harris seems to have recovered his senses. Harris wanted to stand there but Hughes had control of the position. Harris working some strikes from top position. Harris preventing the sweep. Harris stands up from guard. Let's bang! Harris fails in his attempt to clinch. Hughes rushes Harris and presses him up against the cage. Hughes pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Harris decides to pull guard. Harris is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hughes is trying to get back to full guard. Harris missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Harris decides to stand and escape the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Harris throws a head kick but Hughes moves out of range.
Hughes tries to clinch up but Harris circles away and keeps his distance. Hughes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Harris fails to land with a series of punches.
Harris looks winded! Harris shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hughes defends it nicely. Harris takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris shoots in for a takedown but Hughes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Maddox Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christian Harris. Hughes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hughes takes the fight into the clinch. Hughes takes an elbow to the temple. Hughes looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Hughes is trying to force a seperation but Harris has the dominant position. Harris is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harris jumps guard and drags Hughes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Harris has momentary wrist control but Hughes slips an elbow through the middle. Harris keeping moving, preventing Hughes from controlling successfully. Hughes passes Harris's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Harris makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Harris. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hughes trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Harris striking off his back, scoring a few points. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maddox Hughes dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Harris scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Harris is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hughes defends it well. Hughes is pressing down on Harris's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Hughes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Harris's guard. Harris keeping moving, preventing Hughes from controlling successfully. Harris pushes Hughes off and gets back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hughes fails with the takedown and Harris counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Harris.
That's one minute gone in the round. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Harris. Hughes stops a takedown attempt from Harris.
Hughes throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Harriss head. Harris tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hughes avoids it. Harris manages to pull guard.
Harris keeping moving, preventing Hughes from controlling successfully. Harris is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hughes off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Harris moves in looking to clinch but Hughes pushes him off. An inside leg kick lands from Hughes. Hughes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Harris. Harris blocks a head kick by Hughes.
Hughes keeps the fight on the outside. Hughes gets a double leg takedown into Harris's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hughes trying to control but Harris is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes is working Harris over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hughes won't allow Harris to sweep him here. Hughes trying to control but Harris is working from the bottom. Harris is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hughes has his hands clasped together but Harris extends an breaks Hughes's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Harris.
