Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlo Greco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Deour from Shinedown as his entrance music. Jeff Smith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a right and a left that Greco avoids nicely.
Jeff Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Greco shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Greco showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Greco wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smith keeps working.

Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Greco's waist but Greco gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.

Smith shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Greco tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Greco to the ground. Greco escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carlo Greco.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Greco, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
