Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Nick Diaz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Taylor !
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taylor looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Diaz!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Diaz manages to work his way to half guard, despite Taylor 's best efforts.
Taylor wants to take a breather but Diaz is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Taylor is nestled in close to Diaz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Diaz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Taylor pulls his head out easily.
Taylor is taking a breather. Diaz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Taylor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diaz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Taylor might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Diaz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Taylor seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Taylor lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Taylor dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Diaz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Diaz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Taylor manages to avoid it.
Diaz goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Diaz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Diaz tries a head kick but it misses.
Diaz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Diaz looks to score with a jab to the body but Taylor is just out of range.

Taylor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Diaz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Taylor lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Diaz down.
Diaz sneaks back into half guard.
Diaz is looking for a sweep. Taylor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Taylor lands a nice short elbow.

Diaz has his feet on Taylor 's thighs here. He's pushed Taylor off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Taylor screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nick Diaz!
Nick Diaz spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
