The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derecho closes the distance but Warrior moves to the side
and Warrior counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Warrior.
Warrior has picked Derecho up - he's going for a ride! Warrior dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Nice strikes from Warrior there.
Warrior stalling.
Derecho looks winded!
Warrior missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Warrior passes the guard and advances to mount!
Warrior looking to control and managing it successfully.
Derecho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Warrior. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Warrior throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Derecho has his hands clasped together but Warrior breaks the hold and Derecho is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Warrior!
