Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Da Coach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rik Spahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spahn has chosen Slap my elbow as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Da Coach! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rik Spahn! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coach slaps away a takedown attempt from Spahn, before circling back to the center of the mat. Coach misses with a few strikes there.
Spahn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coach tries to avoid it but Spahn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coach to the ground. Coach escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Spahn shoots in for a double leg but Coach sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Da Coach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rik Spahn. Coach keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Coach keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Spahn shoots for a double leg takedown but Coach sprawls well. He's pushed Spahn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Coach scores with a nice right hand.
Coach throws a one two combo.
Spahn with a poor takedown and Coach counters with a stiff right hand. Spahn looks winded! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spahn gets caught napping as Coach dives in and scores a takedown. Spahn manages to retain guard. Coach stopping the sweep attempt from Spahn. Coach wants to pass the guard but Spahn is keeping the position. Coach will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Coach trying to control but Spahn is working from the bottom. Coach wants to stand but Spahn is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coach stands up from guard. Let's bang! The fighters circle momentarily. Coach darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Coach tries to close the distance and clinch but Spahn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Spahn looks for a takedown but Coach sprawls well. Coach feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Spahns jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Coach is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Spahn shoots in for a takedown but Coach shows good takedown defense. Spahn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Coach swivels and escapes. Coach lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Spahn shoots in for a double leg but Coach sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Coach misses with a series of wild punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spahn has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Coach finds it's way round the side to connect with Spahn's head. Coach throws a shot to the body.
Coach lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Coach feints a jab promting Spahn to slip. Coach then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Spahn slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Spahn shoots and misses and Coach decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Spahn's guard. Coach won't allow Spahn to sweep him here. Coach trying to control but Spahn is working from the bottom. Spahn looking for a sweep. Not yet Spahn, not yet. Coach wanted to stand there but Spahn had control of the position. Coach has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Spahn is trying to keep Coach in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coach works a leg free and moves into half guard. Spahn trying to control from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Coach tries to stand and escape but Spahn is controlling the position. Spahn wants to improve his position but Coach is controlling well.
Coach decides to stand and escape the position. Coach gets a takedown into half guard. Spahn wants to get back to full guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Spahn gets full guard. Coach won't allow Spahn to sweep him here. Coach stands up from Spahn's guard - Coach perhaps looking for a knockout. Coach stuffs the takedown. Spahn tries for a takedown but Coach circles away easily and Coach makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Coach lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Coach looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Coach has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Spahn is proving hard to escape from. Coach gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Coach lands a body shot.
Spahn throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Coach tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Spahn is in Coach's guard. Coach keeping moving, preventing Spahn from controlling successfully. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Spahn throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Da Coach dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Spahn checks a leg kick. A solid body kick from Coach. Coach feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Spahn wants to sweep but no luck. Spahn has a closed guard, preventing Coach from standing up. Spahn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Coach being controlled here momentarily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Coach is looking to stand up but Spahn won't let him. Spahn striking off his back but it's not causing Coach any problems. Spahn is adopting a defensive guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Coach throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Spahn was covering up waiting for the punch and Coach finishes the takedown easily into guard. Spahn lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Coach! Spahn looking to control and managing it successfully. Spahn punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spahn cracks Coach with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Coach is rocked! Spahn throwing strikes here but Coach is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Poor strikes thrown by Spahn there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Spahn thowing shots but they're missing. Coach is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Spahn punching from mount but Coach doing a good job of avoiding damage. Spahn thowing shots but they're missing. Spahn unloading with bombs! Oh Coach is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spahn postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Coach is out cold - huge knockout for Spahn!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rik Spahn! After the fight, Rik Spahn was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
