Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wesley Cardoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brownie Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wesley Cardoso has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cardoso feints and as Jenkins raises his hands in defense, Cardoso changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cardoso has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Cardoso stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jenkins swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cardoso shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jenkins pinned against the cage. Jenkins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jenkins tries to close the distance and clinch but Cardoso swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cardoso shoots in but Jenkins avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jenkins lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jenkins throws a right and a left that Cardoso avoids nicely.
Jenkins stuns Cardoso with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Cardoso shoots in looking for a takedown. Jenkins tries to sprawl out of it but Cardoso keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jenkins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wesley Cardoso. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jenkins stalks Cardoso and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cardoso's face. Cardoso staggers backwards, shaken.

Jenkins connects with a nice cross there... Cardoso is looking wobbly and Jenkins recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Cardoso to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Jenkins jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
