Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sparky Probert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kees Flodder! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Probert throws an overhand right that lands on Flodder's shoulder, as Flodder tries to avoid the shot. Flodder uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Probert. Flodder bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Probert's head. Probert throws a half hearted mid kick. No joy there for Flodder, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Probert jabbing away but nothing is landing. Probert shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
It looks like Sparky Probert has been cut. Probert needs to keep his hands up - Flodder had a free shot at his head there. Flodder scores with a hook to the body. Probert takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Flodder lunges at Probert with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Probert's hand.
Probert is rocked! Probert throws a lazy right hand but Flodder sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Oh Probert is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Flodder throws a right hand that Probert ducks under and follows up with a left that Probert also avoids with ease. Probert seems to have got his legs back now. Flodder fails to land with a series of punches.
Flodder lands a left and a right that sends Probert crashing to the canvas! Flodder dives into mount looking to finish! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Flodder looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Flodder looking to isolate an arm here. Probert doesn't see it coming and as Flodder extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Flodder!
