The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramus bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Lindgren managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Ramus.
Lindgren can't do much from the bottom here.
Lindgren tries to buck Ramus off but Ramus is having none of it.
Ramus working away.
Ramus sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Lindgren is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Ramus goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lindgren rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ramus's guard! Nice work there by Lindgren!
Lindgren won't allow Ramus to sweep him here.

Ramus is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lindgren is aware though and is defending well.
Lindgren is standing up over Ramus. Ramus looks to escape but Lindgren dives into side control.

Ramus is trying to reverse the position but instead Lindgren has taken his back - oops!
Lindgren is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Lindgren is trying to stick to Ramus's back but Ramus is turning into Lindgren. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lindgren's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ramus.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lindgren is trying to control the position but Ramus postures up.
Ramus tries to free his leg and advance position but Lindgren is retaining full guard.
Ramus is pushing down on Lindgren's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lindgren is fighting to maintain full guard but Ramus has managed to sneak the leg through.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramus is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lindgren sees it coming and defends easily.
Ramus in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Lindgren tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Ramus!

Cody Ramus is the new light heavyweight champion!
A relieved looking Cody Ramus thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
