Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akira Azuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Winehouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Akira Azuma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Winehouse!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azuma displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Winehouse avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Azuma takes one to the chin there.
Azuma throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Winehouse tests Azuma's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Winehouse cracks Azuma with a good jab.
Winehouse throws a solid leg kick but Azuma takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Winehouse.
Winehouse defending well as Azuma loads up on a big left hand.
Azuma cracks a nice hook into Winehouse's ribs.
Winehouse throws a body punch but Azuma moves out of range.
Azuma ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Azuma lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Winehouse tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Azuma is able to avoid easily.

Azuma throws a hook to the side of Winehouse's head but Winehouse sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Winehouse paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Winehouse throws a leg kick but Azuma checks it.

and Azuma counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Winehouse thinking.
Winehouse pivots, looking for a leg kick but Azuma is out of range and Winehouse settles back down.
Winehouse moves out of range of the strikes.
Azuma connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Akira Azuma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Winehouse misses the target.
Azuma cracks Winehouse with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Winehouse counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Azuma is looking to wear down Winehouse with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Azuma moves out of range as Winehouse strikes.
Winehouse takes a swing at Azuma's ribcage but misses.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Azuma avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Azuma blocks a low kick nicely.
Azuma has taken the fight to the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Azuma creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Azuma tries a body shot but Winehouse blocks it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Azuma digs a right hand underneath Winehouse's ribcage. Winehouse let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Winehouse stalling in the clinch but Azuma improves position.
Winehouse is fighting off a takedown attempt but Azuma is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Winehouse to the mat. Winehouse regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Winehouse utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Azuma lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Winehouse really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Azuma. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Azuma controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Azuma wants to pass the guard but Winehouse is keeping the position.
Winehouse can't keep his opponent in guard - Azuma advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akira Azuma dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!
Azuma bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Azuma sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Winehouse is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Winehouse is trying to improve his position.
Azuma misses with the ground and pound.
Azuma tries to score with some ground and pound. Winehouse controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Azuma works to advance to full mount. Winehouse defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Winehouse is bucking up trying to escape but Azuma cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Azuma lands a big shot there that rocks Winehouse but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Winehouse is still in real trouble! Can Azuma finish him?

A big strike lands for Azuma! That's really hurt Winehouse and he's turned his back - Azuma keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Azuma jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
