Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Quade Cooper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josef Jaeger! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooper buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Josef Jaeger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cooper moves in looking to clinch but Jaeger pushes him off. Cooper throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Jaeger looks to throw the jab but Cooper is out of range. Cooper throws a hook but Jaeger avoids it easily. Jaeger misses with a straight right. Jaeger slips under a jab from Cooper. Cooper lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. A head kick misses from Cooper. Cooper is looking to land body kicks. Jaeger gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Cooper gets back to half guard. Cooper trying to control here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cooper blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jaeger. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cooper tries to hold on but Jaeger pushes him away. Jaeger is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cooper can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Cooper is rocked! Cooper is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Oh Cooper is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Jaeger lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Jaeger postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Cooper in real trouble here! The ref calls for Cooper to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josef Jaeger! Josef Jaeger bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
