The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carey takes the fight into the clinch.
Carey gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Carey seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Jacobs moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Carey landing some decent shots from guard.
Jacobs lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Carey!

Carey tries to escape but Jacobs has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Jacobs stands up from mount. Strange move.
Carey stuffs the takedown attempt from Jacobs. Jacobs gets slowly back to his feet.
Jacobs tries to keep at a distance but Carey has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jacobs is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Carey turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Carey manages to end up in side control.
Jacobs is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Carey tries to advance to mount but can't.
Jacobs is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Carey off and has taken his back!
Carey manages to reverse the position and now he's in Jacobs's guard. Nice work there by Carey.
Jacobs is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Carey rolls with it to try and escape but Jacobs cranks on the arm and Carey is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
