Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russ Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Zuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Russ Lane has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Russ Lane seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jacob Zuma!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zuma throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lane decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lane trying to control from half guard but Zuma is working away.
Lane thows a huge punch but Zuma dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lane thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zuma's head.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lane in particular looking to stall.
Zuma is trying is best to control the position here.
Zuma gets back to full guard.
Lane looking to sit in guard and control but Zuma gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Zuma pushing down on Lane's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Zuma is taking a breather. Lane says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Zuma wants to work for an arm triangle but Lane is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Zuma wants to pass to mount but Lane is defending the position.
Lane is trying to control but Zuma manages to pass to mount!
Lane wants to control but Zuma is having none of it.
Zuma tries to push Lane's head away but Lane is holding on tight.

Zuma postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lane looks a forlorn figure.

Zuma is working for a guillotine from mount but Lane frees his head quite easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Zuma cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Lane is looking to improve his position but Zuma isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lane tries to lock up and control but Zuma gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Zuma wants to control the pace but Lane is squirming around nicely.
Lane has given up his back here.
Zuma is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Lane with him. Lane is trying to defend but Zuma has an arm under the chin now! Lane grimaces and is forced to tap out!
