Kimble comes to the cage accompanied by Ecstasy Of Gold. Doug McDonald will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald takes a swing at Kimble's ribcage but misses.
McDonald misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McDonald looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kimble staying out of range there.
Kimble with a poor takedown
and McDonald counters with an inside leg kick.
McDonald throws a nice outside leg kick.
Nice defenses there by McDonald.
Kimble fakes a jab and throws a low kick but McDonald checks it well.
McDonald lands a nice looking body kick.
Kimble scores with a leg kick.
McDonald connects with a solid leg kick.
McDonald throws an overhand right that lands on Kimble's shoulder, as Kimble tries to avoid the shot.
McDonald scores with a kick to the midsection.
Kimble misses with a looping right.
McDonald scores with a body shot.

and McDonald counters with a good low kick that Kimble was not able to check.

McDonald pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A head kick misses from McDonald.
Kimble waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McDonald.
McDonald ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
McDonald lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kimble at a distance.

Kimble shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McDonald is trying to defend but Kimble finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
McDonald is looking to improve his position.

McDonald is looking to control Kimble's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McDonald avoid being mounted?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kimble is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kimble thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Kimble trying to pass the guard but McDonald defending well.

McDonald slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Kimble trying to control the position from guard on top but McDonald is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McDonald is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
McDonald is trying to keep Kimble in close.
Kimble looking to sit in guard and control but McDonald gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kimble wants to sweep here but McDonald controlling him for the moment.

Kimble controls McDonald momentarily but McDonald frees himself.
McDonald preventing the sweep.
Kimble is trying to keep McDonald in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kimble shoots for a takedown but McDonald saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Kimble is looking to slow McDonald down with leg kicks.
Kimble tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McDonald is able to avoid easily.

John Kimble seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McDonald pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
McDonald throws a shot to the body.
McDonald throws a hook to the side of Kimble's head but Kimble sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McDonald is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kimble rather than just go for the knockout.

Kimble misses with a takedown attempt
and McDonald counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Kimble misses with a right hand
enabling McDonald to counter with a crisp jab.
McDonald throws the left hand but Kimble avoids the punch easily.
Kimble misses with a straight right.
Doug McDonald seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kimble fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Kimble. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kimble takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kimble fakes a jab and throws a low kick but McDonald checks it well.
McDonald connects with an inside leg kick.
Kimble misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McDonald.
Kimble throws a jab when McDonald was well out of range.
Kimble throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McDonald fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kimble looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
McDonald throws a leg kick but Kimble checks it.
McDonald throws a front kick that sends Kimble stumbling back into the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A low kick from Kimble is predictable there
and McDonald counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kimble.
Doug McDonald is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A jab from Kimble misses.
McDonald jabs at Kimble's body.
McDonald lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.


Kimble is rocked!
McDonald checks a low kick from Kimble.
Oh Kimble is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kimble thows a leg kick but McDonald checks it
and McDonald counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
McDonald finds Kimble's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Kimble flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. McDonald lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Kimble will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Doug McDonald!

Doug McDonald gave a mention to Ganja's Warehouse (95% Laundering) in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
