Maynard has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Xocoyotzin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Maynard.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maynard has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maynard and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alexander Maynard will probably get the nod.
