Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between God Save the Queen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Van Vactor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Vactor has chosen Five Finger Death Punch- The Pride as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ethan Van Vactor has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with God Save the Queen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, God Save the Queen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ethan Van Vactor!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Queen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Queen fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Van Vactor looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Van Vactor looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Van Vactor throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Queen tumbling to the canvas!


It looks like God Save the Queen has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Van Vactor wants to control from the top but Queen keeps moving.

Van Vactor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Van Vactor is looking to work some ground and pound but Queen has wrist control.
Van Vactor passes Queen's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Van Vactor passes the guard and advances to mount!

Van Vactor jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Queen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Queen and Van Vactor has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Queen is trying to improve his position.

Van Vactor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Van Vactor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Queen is not content to let Van Vactor control the position.

Queen tries to buck Van Vactor off but Van Vactor is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Van Vactor looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Van Vactor tries to pass to full mount but Queen defends it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Van Vactor in particular looking to stall.

Queen is refusing to be controlled, as Van Vactor sits in half guard.
Well, if Van Vactor is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Van Vactor prevents Queen from standing back up.

Ethan Van Vactor has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
The crowd cheers as Van Vactor lands an impressive looking overhand right. Queen doesn't seem phased though.
Queen throws a hook to the side of Van Vactor's head but Van Vactor sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Van Vactor connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Queen is rocked!


God Save the Queen's cut is getting worse.

Van Vactor drops back looking for a leg! Queen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Queen manages to kick Van Vactor off! Van Vactor jumps back into Queen's guard.
Oh Queen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Van Vactor is looking to work some ground and pound but Queen has wrist control.
Queen seems to have got his legs back now.
Van Vactor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Van Vactor wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Queen, who protects the arm well.
Van Vactor tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Queen wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Van Vactor moves into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ethan Van Vactor dominated that round.
The cut man is working on God Save the Queen's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Queen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Van Vactor, pushing him back against the cage.

Van Vactor manages to break the clinch.
Van Vactor throws a low kick but it's checked well by Queen.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Van Vactor is looking to take a break and control but Queen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Queen is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Van Vactor has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Van Vactor can't control as he wanted to and Queen manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

Van Vactor is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Van Vactor throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Queen wants to control but Van Vactor is keeping busy.
Van Vactor is looking to take a break and control but Queen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Van Vactor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Van Vactor trying to control but Queen is having none of it.
Queen tries to hold on but Van Vactor postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ethan Van Vactor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Van Vactor, as that shot connected.
Decent striking displayed by Queen there.
Ethan Van Vactor seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Queen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Van Vactor.
Van Vactor wants to slow Queen down by chopping away at his legs.
Van Vactor throws a shot to the body.
Queen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Queen attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Van Vactor drops Queen with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Queen! Van Vactor dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ethan Van Vactor!

A very excited looking Ethan Van Vactor made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
