Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luan Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nguyen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Thomas swivels and escapes.
Nguyen closes the distance and clinches up with Thomas, looking for a takedown. Nguyen pushes Thomas against the cage but Thomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Thomas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nguyen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thomas has managed to get both his arms back between Nguyen's legs - danger averted.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nguyen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Thomas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nguyen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thomas wants to get back to his feet but Nguyen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
