Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Victor Ytter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Gable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ytter comes into the arena with The winner takes it all blaring out of the sound system. Julius Gable will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Victor Ytter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Julius Gable! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gable stuffs the takedown. Ytter tries to clinch up but Gable circles away and keeps his distance. Gable clinches. Ytter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ytter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gable looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Gable looks to move to half guard but instead Ytter has passed into mount! Damn! Gable manages to regain half guard. Good work. Ytter trying to mount his opponent but Gable defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ytter uses his free foot to push down on Gable's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gable. Ytter moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Gable has worked his arm free - good work by Gable!
Ytter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gable is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gable is trying to get back to half guard. Ytter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gable, who protects the arm well. Gable manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gable sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ytter defending well though. Ytter moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Ytter is breathing heavily. Gable tries to free his leg and advance position but Ytter is retaining full guard. Ytter wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Ytter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gable is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Ytter working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Gable has passed into half guard!
Still in half guard, Gable seems content to control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gable looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Julius Gable will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Gable moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Ytter tries to keep at a distance but Gable has taken the fight into the clinch. Gable is working for takedown but Ytter is calmly controlling the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ytter wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gable breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ytter clinches. Ytter pulls guard effortlessly. Ytter had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gable is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ytter Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gable's back instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. I really don't envy Gable right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ytter doesn't have the hooks in and Gable manages to turn into his guard.
Gable sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ytter's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ytter wants to get back to full guard. Gable with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Ytter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gable is working away from the top position though. Ytter throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Gable is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gable is tying to control. Ytter wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ytter is pressing down on Gable's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Ytter is looking to stand up but Gable isn't so interested in that idea. Gable pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ytter is keeping the position for now. Gable trying to control the position from guard on top but Ytter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gable tries to free his leg and advance position but Ytter is retaining full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Gable wants to clinch but Ytter slips to the side and Ytter counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ytter won't allow Gable to sweep him here. Gable is trying to keep Ytter in close.
Gable has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Ytter doesn't defend quickly enough and Gable has managed to lock this one up! Can Ytter escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gable on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Julius Gable!
