Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fridtjof Jarlsberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Atilla Khan!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khan drives through with a takedown into Jarlsberg's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jarlsberg has momentary wrist control but Khan slips an elbow through the middle.

Jarlsberg is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Khan defends well.

Jarlsberg wants to sweep but no luck.
Jarlsberg controls Khan momentarily but Khan frees himself.
Jarlsberg avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Jarlsberg looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jarlsberg wants to improve his position but instead Khan has moved into half guard.
Khan not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Khan not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Jarlsberg gets full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jarlsberg is on top in guard.
Khan throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Khan scores with a short punch from the bottom.

Jarlsberg is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Jarlsberg slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Khan avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jarlsberg.
Khan is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jarlsberg is trying to get an arm triangle but Khan is defending well.

Jarlsberg tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Khan is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Khan is looking for a sweep.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Khan throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Khan tries to buck Jarlsberg off but Jarlsberg is having none of it.
Jarlsberg wants to control but Khan is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khan throws a few strikes from the bottom but Jarlsberg takes advantage and mounts!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Khan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Khan flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Jarlsberg wants to control but Khan has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Nice strikes from Jarlsberg there.
Khan scores with a few weak punches.

Jarlsberg is working for a kimura but Khan is defending it quite comfortably.
Khan is looking to escape.
Jarlsberg passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Khan!
Jarlsberg won't let Khan get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Khan flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Khan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Jarlsberg has control of Khan's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Khan regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Khan is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Khan working to try and regain half guard.

Jarlsberg jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Khan manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jarlsberg tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jarlsberg has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jarlsberg thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fridtjof Jarlsberg dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Khan gets a double leg takedown into Jarlsberg's guard.
Khan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Khan is looking to work some ground and pound but Jarlsberg has wrist control.
Jarlsberg lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Khan!
Khan is trying to escape the mount.

Jarlsberg swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Khan is now in Jarlsberg's guard. A big mistake from Jarlsberg there, giving up the dominant position!
Jarlsberg is controlling Khan's posture.

Khan throws a sloppy strike and Jarlsberg has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Khan is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Jarlsberg!
