Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Pescitore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bishop comes to the cage accompanied by Drunkula - Lift The Whip. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Bishop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marco Pescitore! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bishop closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Pescitore avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bishop. Pescitore manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Bishop seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pescitore does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pescitore is trying to get back to full guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Pescitore trying to control but Bishop postures up.
Bishop throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bishop thows a huge punch but Pescitore dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Pescitore throws a sloppy head kick and Bishop moves out of range easily. Pescitore throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Bishop fails to land the takedown. Bishop misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bishop throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Pescitore is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Bishop wants to control from the top but Pescitore keeps moving. Bishop looking to pass the guard. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pescitore pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pescitore gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bishop. Bishop fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pescitore manages to avoid it. Pescitore tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bishop thows a left - swing and a miss! Bishop throws a looping overhand right but Pescitore ducks down to avoid it.

Pescitore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bishop loads up on a big right hand but Pescitore slips the punch. Bishop throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bishop shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bishop showed some decent athleticism there. Pescitore has hold of Bishop's hands but Bishop slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Bishop is pressing down on Pescitore's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pescitore is holding on for now. Pescitore is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bishop scores with a couple of nice shots. Pescitore is refusing to be controlled, as Bishop sits in half guard. Pescitore is looking to control Bishop's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pescitore avoid being mounted? Pescitore is not content to let Bishop control the position. Bishop looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Bishop lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Billy Bishop overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pescitore throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Pescitore keeping moving, preventing Bishop from controlling successfully. Marco Pescitore has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pescitore wants to sweep but no luck. Bishop missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Pescitore working a defensive guard here.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Billy Bishop. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bishop, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
