Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Retsu Kaioh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Tatov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tatov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Soundgarden - Superunknown. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Retsu Kaioh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Igor Tatov!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatov loads up on a big right hand but Kaioh slips the punch.

Kaioh stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kaioh wants it to stay on the feet.
Kaioh takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Kaioh clinches.
Kaioh works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Kaioh blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Kaioh pushes Tatov back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Tatov lands a shoulder strike.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tatov looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Kaioh misses with a short punch on the inside.
A bit of stalling here from Kaioh.
Tatov tries to throw a body punch but Kaioh avoids it by throwing Tatov back against the cage.
Kaioh swings wildly with an uppercut but Tatov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tatov pushes off an throws an elbow but Kaioh leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kaioh is staying active underneath Tatov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Kaioh tries to roll over but Tatov keeps him under control.

Tatov seems to be looking for submissions.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tatov connects with a nice short shot to Kaioh's temple.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kaioh wants to improve his position but Tatov is controlling well.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tatov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kaioh is bucking up trying to escape but Tatov cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Tatov cracks Kaioh with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.


Kaioh is rocked!

Tatov gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Oh Kaioh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tatov misses with a hook. Kaioh ducked under it nicely.
Kaioh seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kaioh rushes Tatov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kaioh throws a head punch that misses.
Knees in the clinch landing for Tatov.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Igor Tatov dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Retsu Kaioh's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kaioh takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Tatov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tatov passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kaioh!
Kaioh tries to hold on but Tatov pushes him away.
Tatov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kaioh is looking to escape.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tatov lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Tatov loads up with a big shot that hurts Kaioh! He's pulled Tatov in close but Tatov has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Kaioh survive? More strikes from Tatov and Kaioh is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Igor Tatov!
Igor Tatov got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
