The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ilie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The strikes coming from Ilie are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Trochomirski trying his best to control but Ilie has mounted him.
Ilie misses with some ground and pound and Trochomirski recovers position to half guard.
Ilie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ilie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ilie is working for a submission of some sort.
Ilie wants to work for an arm triangle but Trochomirski is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

and Ilie counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Dragos Ilie has been cut.
Trochomirski pulls out of a head kick attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ilie fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Ilie shoots for a takedown but Trochomirski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Trochomirski lands a big head kick that sends Ilie tumbling to the mat! Trochomirski takes a step backwards and waves Ilie back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Ilie is rocked!
Trochomirski drops Ilie with a straight right hand, right on the button! Trochomirski follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
