Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Quik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick van Greeven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). van Greeven has chosen Tom Waits - Telephone call from Istanbul as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
van Greeven tries for a takedown but Quik sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
van Greeven shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Quik but Quik pushes him off and we're back to square one.
van Greeven dives in and scores a takedown into Quik's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
van Greeven engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
van Greeven throwing strikes but missing.
van Greeven throws a big elbow that misses.
Quik trying to control the position.
van Greeven trying to control but Quik is working from the bottom.
Quik trying to keep a closed guard but van Greeven is proving a slippery customer.

Quik looking to hit a scissor sweep but van Greeven is one step ahead there.
van Greeven controlling from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Quik throws a sloppy head kick and van Greeven moves out of range easily.
Quik throws a front kick aimed at van Greeven's knee but van Greeven avoids it well.
Quik swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and van Greeven decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Quik's guard.
van Greeven with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Quik controls van Greeven momentarily but van Greeven frees himself.
Quik wants to get back to his feet but van Greeven is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
van Greeven stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quik swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Quik tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Quik avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
van Greeven throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Quik works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
van Greeven looking to sit in guard and control but Quik gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
van Greeven is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
van Greeven lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
van Greeven is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
van Greeven cracks Quik with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, van Greeven cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Quik is rocked!
van Greeven lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Quik! van Greeven sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Quik and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dick van Greeven!
