Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Garlin Liddle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddle has chosen eye of the tiger as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huerta has managed to clinch.
Liddle blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Liddle looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Liddle has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Huerta regains guard immediately.

Huerta sneaks out the side door and pushes Liddle away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Nice straight punches there by Liddle. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Liddle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Liddle throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Huerta counters with a head kick. That will keep Liddle thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Liddle stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Huerta.

Huerta clobbers Liddle with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Liddle misses with a kick to the body.

Huerta is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Huerta lands a shoulder strike.

Huerta softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Huerta comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Huerta throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Liddles head.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Huerta obliges.
A nice left hand lands by Huerta.

Huerta lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Liddle's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Huerta has Liddle pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Liddle is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Huerta - that's hurt Liddle badly! Oh, another knee lands and Liddle is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Liddle doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Max Huerta!
