Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jonas Eliasson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michal Wyrzykowski!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wyrzykowski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wyrzykowski showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Wyrzykowski throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Wyrzykowski is looking for a kimura but Eliasson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wyrzykowski to get the leverage.
Wyrzykowski is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Eliasson reverses the position - he's now on top in Wyrzykowski's guard.
Eliasson trying to control the position from guard on top but Wyrzykowski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wyrzykowski is trying to control the position but Eliasson postures up.
Wyrzykowski avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Eliasson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Wyrzykowski working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Eliasson has passed into half guard!

Eliasson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Eliasson lands a nice short elbow.
Eliasson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Wyrzykowski has hold of Eliasson's hands but Eliasson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Wyrzykowski wants to get back to full guard.
Eliasson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Eliasson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wyrzykowski is trying to maintain the position but Eliasson is very close to passing his half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Eliasson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Eliasson lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Wyrzykowski! More strikes land and this one is all over! Eliasson jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
