The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kucuk lands with a nice body punch.
Roland Saukkonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kucuk misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Crunch! Kucuk slams his shin into Saukkonen's torso.
Kucuk looks for the body kick but Saukkonen saw that one coming.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Saukkonen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kucuk - the referee stops the clock and Saukkonen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kucuk. Saukkonen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Kucuk delivers a nice body kick.
Nice straight punches there by Kucuk. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kucuk.

Saukkonen takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The cut above Roland Saukkonen's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Kucuk thows a body shot but no joy.

Saukkonen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kucuk avoids it really well and circles away.

Kucuk throws a series of punches but Saukkonen moves out of range.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kucuk. Saukkonen shrugs it off though.
Saukkonen looks for a takedown but Kucuk sprawls well.

Kucuk lands with a kick to the temple. Saukkonen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

This has been an exciting period of action!
Saukkonen shoots in looking for a takedown. Kucuk tries to sprawl out of it but Saukkonen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kucuk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kucuk throws a head kick that misses.
Kucuk misses with a head kick.
Kucuk moves out of range as Saukkonen strikes.
Kucuk stuffs the takedown attempt from Saukkonen. Saukkonen gets slowly back to his feet.
Kucuk leaves Saukkonen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Saukkonen shoots in looking for a takedown but Kucuk manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Saukkonen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kucuk lands a head kick. Saukkonen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Roland Saukkonen's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Saukkonen takes a kick to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Levent Kucuk dominated that round.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
