Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derick Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cory Rice is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derick Moore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cory Rice! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moore shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Rice is looking for a sweep. Moore is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Moore wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rice keeps working. Rice wants to improve his position but Moore is controlling well.
Rice is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rice is pressing down on Moore's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Moore connects with a couple of short punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rice is working an open guard so Moore takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rice fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Moore takes the fight into the clinch. Rice pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rice tries to keep at a distance but Moore has taken the fight into the clinch. Moore is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rice can't fight it off and eventually Moore manages to take the fight to the floor. Rice looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Moore slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Rice throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Moore drops back looking for a leg! Rice is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rice manages to kick Moore off! Moore jumps back into Rice's guard. Moore gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Moore lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Moore lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rice circles away quickly and effectively. Rice jabs Moore to the body, keeping him at a distance. Jab by Rice.
It looks like Derick Moore has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rice to the ground. Moore is now in Rice's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rice looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rice had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Moore defends it easily. Rice is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Moore is aware though and is defending well. Moore controlling from the top position. Rice working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Moore. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rice looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rice keeping moving, preventing Moore from controlling successfully. Rice is looking for a triangle but Moore pushes his legs off easily.
This has been an exciting period of action! Moore looking to control the position here, rather than advance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rice escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Moore gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Derick Moore will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Derick Moore's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rice closes the distance and clinches up with Moore, looking for a takedown. Rice pushes Moore against the cage but Moore circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Moore clinches with his opponent.
Moore breaks from the clinch.
Moore pushes Rice up against the cage in a clinch. Rice is looking to break free of the clinch but Moore has double underhooks. Moore has Rice pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Moore pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Rice tumbling to the mat - Moore dives into Rice's guard. Rice escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Moore gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rice looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moore won't allow Rice to sweep him here. Moore avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rice keeping moving, preventing Moore from controlling successfully. Rice is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moore defends well. Moore drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Moore jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Derick Moore overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moore wants to control from the top but Rice keeps moving. Rice wants to sweep here but Moore controlling him for the moment. Moore working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Moore decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rice, up you get! Moore clinches. Rice lands a right hand that snaps the head of Moore backwards. Moore swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Moore turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Moore manages to end up in side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Moore wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rice keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rice is looking for a sweep. Rice regains half guard. Rice is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Moore's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Moore's back! Rice looking for the choke from the back. Rice is breathing heavily. Moore breaks Rice's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Moore gets to his feet. Rice looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Moore looking to score a takedown here. Rice is defending well but Moore drives through and ends up in Rice's guard. Moore scoring with punches to the head and body. Moore might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Moore not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moore has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Rice is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moore defends well. Moore sitting in guard here, content to control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rice has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Moore is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rice. Rice sneaks back into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moore pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rice tries to sprawl but Moore drives through with a takedown into half guard. Rice makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rice. Rice has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moore can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Moore trying to control but Rice is working from the bottom. Rice has his foot on Moore's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moore works his way back into a safe position though.

Moore trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rice takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rice looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Moore is defending well. Rice quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Moore has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Rice celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
