Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Pep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guy Downs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pep comes to the cage accompanied by Iron Theme Song (Here Comes The Boom - Nelly). Guy Downs acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frankie Pep! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Guy Downs! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donk. Pep catches Downs right on the button with a cross. Pep scores with the left hand. Downs knows he should have avoided that one. Downs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Pep manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Pep throws a hook but Downs blocks it. Pep throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Downs counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Pep is positioning himself well to prevent Downs advancing to mount. Downs sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pep defending well though. Pep trying to hold on to Downs's head to control him but Downs postures up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Downs throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Pep avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Downs. Well, if Downs is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Downs is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Downs is pressing down on Pep's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pep is holding on for now. Downs is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pep defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pep tries to get to full guard but Downs has control of the leg. The fighters are battling for position here. Pep manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Downs pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pep is keeping the position for now. Downs wants to control from the top but Pep keeps moving. Pep keeping full guard, as Downs tries to pass. Pep has control of Downs's left arm, preventing Downs from doing any damage. Downs working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Pep pulls Downs in close to his closed guard and prevents Downs from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Frankie Pep. Pep throws a nice looking combination but Downs bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Downs fails with a takedown attempt. Pep throws an off balance right hand
and Downs counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pep! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Downs throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Downs working Pep over with strikes here. Pep is looking to improve his position but Downs isn't that keen on the idea. Pep squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Pep is wriggling around trying to escape.
Downs has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Downs throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Downs with shots to the head and body - Pep looks very uncomfortable down there. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Downs cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Downs throws some wild stikes that Pep manages to avoid easily.
Pep defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Downs. Pep tries to buck Downs off but he can't manage it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Downs is landing with some decent strikes but Pep is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Downs wants to finish this one by submission but Pep is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Downs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pep is squirming around, avoiding Downs's attempts to control the action. Pep is looking to get to half guard. Poor strikes thrown by Downs there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Pep is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Downs looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Pep regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pep wants to control but Downs is keeping busy.
Pep controlling the position for now. Downs seems to be looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Downs is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Downs is working for a guillotine from mount but Pep frees his head quite easily.
Pep's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Pep prevents any damage by holding on tight. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pep wants to hold on but Downs pushes him away. Downs tries to control but Pep wriggling away. Pep is trying desperately to improve position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pep is working hard here to advance position. Pep tries to hold on but Downs postures up. Pep is looking to improve his position but Downs isn't that keen on the idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Guy Downs dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Downs fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Pep keeps the fight on the outside. Downs fails with a takedown attempt. Pep moves into the clinch successfully.
Pep makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Pep stalls. Downs goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pep prevents it.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Downs. Pep working some nice short punches in the clinch. Pep gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Downs.
Frankie Pep has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guy Downs. A short uppercut from Pep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pep lands on the inside with an uppercut. Pep lands a left hand.
Downs changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pep fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Downs counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Pep moves into full guard.
Downs tries to free his leg and advance position but Pep is retaining full guard. Pep has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Downs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Downs trying to control the position from guard on top but Pep is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pep is controlling Downs's posture. Downs throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pep works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Downs wants to control from the top but Pep keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pep looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Downs is defending well. Pep quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Downs has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Pep celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Frankie Pep! In his post fight interview, Frankie Pep started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
