Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lars Holm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mao Zedong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holm comes to the cage accompanied by Gary Jules - Mad World. Lars Holm has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Zedong connects with a nice short shot to Holm's temple.

Holm manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zedong manages to get himself to full guard.
Holm wants to get up but he can't break Zedong's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Zedong pulls Holm in close to prevent any damage.
Holm looking to sit in guard and control but Zedong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Zedong lands a big shot there that rocks Holm but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Zedong has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Zedong has control of Holm's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Holm regains control of the situation pretty easily.
