The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
David throws a body punch but Beard moves out of range.
Beard moves into the clinch successfully.
David is looking for a takedown.
Beard misses with an elbow strike.
David misses with a punch on the inside.
David lands a left hand.
David avoids the elbow strike from Beard, against the cage.
David avoids a wild elbow strike from Beard.
David tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Beard smiles and moves away.
Beard just misses with a punch to the body.
David misses with a straight left.
Beard defends well against a solid takedown attempt from David.

David takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

In his post fight interview, Melekh David started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
