Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ljuti Hrcak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lew Alcindor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alcindor has chosen could you be loved by Bob Marley as his entrance music. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lew Alcindor was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ljuti Hrcak!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lew Alcindor!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hrcak pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hrcak slaps away a takedown attempt from Alcindor, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hrcak throws a looping overhand right but Alcindor ducks down to avoid it.
Alcindor has a takedown stuffed.
Hrcak throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Alcindor is defended easily by Hrcak.
Ljuti Hrcak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lew Alcindor.
Alcindor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hrcak.

and Alcindor decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hrcak's guard.

Hrcak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alcindor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alcindor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hrcak bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alcindor's guard.
Hrcak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alcindor swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hrcak wants to control but Alcindor is keeping him busy.

Alcindor tries to bench press Hrcak off him but Hrcak keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alcindor manages to get back to half guard.
Alcindor on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Hrcak tries to pass to full mount but Alcindor defends it.
Alcindor tries to roll over but Hrcak keeps him under control.
Alcindor is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hrcak seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Alcindor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Hrcak drops an elbow to the side of Alcindor's head.
Alcindor is trying to get back to full guard.
Alcindor moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Hrcak postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Alcindor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hrcak manages to get himself to full guard.
Hrcak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hrcak is really struggling to control Alcindor but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Hrcak is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Alcindor defends well.
Hrcak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alcindor defends it easily.
Hrcak manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hrcak cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hrcak lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Alcindor wants to control but Hrcak is having none of it.
Alcindor is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ljuti Hrcak dominated that round.
That's time! Hrcak's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hrcak looks to score with a jab to the body but Alcindor is just out of range.
Hrcak lands a right hook to the body.
Alcindor bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Hrcak counters with a left to the body.
Hrcak throws a sloppy head kick and Alcindor moves out of range easily.
Hrcak throws a hook to the side of Alcindor's head but Alcindor sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ljuti Hrcak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hrcak fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alcindor, pushing him back against the cage.
Hrcak is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Alcindor is defending well.
Hrcak has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Alcindor after a bit of a struggle.
Alcindor is pressed up against the cage. Hrcak has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alcindor down to the mat. Alcindor avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hrcak tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alcindor was well out of range. Poor timing from Hrcak.
Hrcak shoots in for a double leg but Alcindor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Alcindor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Alcindor closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hrcak's guard.
Hrcak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hrcak wants to sweep here but Alcindor controlling him for the moment.

Alcindor creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Alcindor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Alcindor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hrcak manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Alcindor is thwarting Hrcak's attempts to control the position.
Alcindor is nestled in close to Hrcak, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hrcak is trying to control but can't.
Alcindor is pressing down on Hrcak's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hrcak is holding on for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Lew Alcindor will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hrcak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alcindor's waist but Alcindor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hrcak off to one side.

and Alcindor counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hrcak's guard now.

Hrcak has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alcindor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hrcak is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Alcindor frees his head nicely. Oh but Hrcak has switched to an armbar! Alcindor is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ljuti Hrcak is the new welterweight champion!
In his post fight interview, Ljuti Hrcak started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
