Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ip Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Myron Obusan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man's entrance music is The Legend Is Born. A fine choice. Obusan has chosen Frontlines by Diabolic feat. Immortal Technique as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ip Man! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Myron Obusan! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man throws a head kick that Obusan semi-blocks.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Obusan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Obusan throws a right hand that misses
and Man counters with a nice body kick. Obusan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Man. Man fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Obusan, pushing him back against the cage. Man breaks the clinch.
Man moves out of range as Obusan strikes. Man feints and then cracks Obusan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Obusan down. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Obusan throws a front kick aimed at Man's knee but Man avoids it well. Obusan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Obusan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Man finds it's way round the side to connect with Obusan's head. Man darts in trying to clinch and Obusan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Man won't be happy with that. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Man is looking for a sweep. Obusan wants to control for a moment but Man uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Obusan wants to take a breather but Man is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Man is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Man makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Man. Obusan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Obusan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Man preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Obusan trying to control but Man is working from the bottom. Man is looking to sweep but instead, Obusan has passed into half guard.
Man wants to improve his position but Obusan is controlling well.
Obusan is stalling here. Man is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Obusan seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Man has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Obusan wants to get back to his feet but Man drags him back down. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Obusan wants to get back to his feet. Man taking a breather here. Man advances to full mount. Man sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. You get the feeling that Obusan really doesn't like being in this position too much.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ip Man dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Man defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Obusan. Man buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Obusan throws out a loose jab but Man uses good head movement to avoid it. Man fails in his attempt to clinch. Man throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Obusan's head. Man tries to clinch up. Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Obusan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Obusan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Man gets a clinch. Man prevents the takedown attempt.
Obusan is working for takedown but Man is calmly controlling the position for now. Ip Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Myron Obusan. Man unloads a knee to the mid-section. Obusan is breathing heavily. Man stalling in the clinch.
Obusan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Man fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Man tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Obusan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Man rushes Obusan and presses him up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Man crunches a lovely knee into Obusan's ribcage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A nice glancing elbow lands by Man. Man scores with a nice hook to the head. Obusan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Man avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Man landing knees to the body.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Man obliges. Man manages to break the clinch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Man. Man connects with a leg kick. Obusan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Ip Man is winning the standup battle so far. Man has taken the fight to the clinch.
Obusan is trying to push Man away but Man has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A short right from Man. Man escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Obusan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Man forces Obusan back against the cage and clinches. Man lands an elbow inside. Obusan takes an elbow to the forehead. Man manages to break the clinch.
Man closes the distance and clinches. Man utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Man's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Man tries to clinch but Obusan moves out of range. Man thuds his shin into the meat of Obusan's side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Obusan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Obusan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Man throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Obusan tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Man works Obusan's body with a nice hook. Ip Man is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Man lands a nice leg kick that just misses Obusan's sensitive parts. Man gets a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ip Man dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Man gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Man lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Obusan or not. A short right hand to the side of the head by Man.
Obusan is rocked! Man lands a big knee to the head and Obusan goes down! Man pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ip Man! Our winner, Ip Man, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
