PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jony Laion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Kucharski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laion's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Example Stay. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jony Laion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michal Kucharski!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laion lands with a nice combination. Kucharski backs away looking to recover.
Kucharski shoots in looking for a takedown but Laion manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kucharski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Kucharski gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kucharski has his foot on Laion's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Laion works his way back into a safe position though.

Kucharski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kucharski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Laion doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Laion manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kucharski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Laion gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kucharski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Laion can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Laion is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Laion's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Laion is nestled in close to Kucharski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kucharski sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Laion has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jony Laion.

Laion closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kucharski's guard.
