PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Naughtius Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Berkeley Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunt has chosen The Joker as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus throws a right hand that Hunt ducks under and follows up with a left that Hunt also avoids with ease.
Hunt misses with an uppercut.
Hunt lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A head kick misses from Maximus.
Hunt throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Maximus to counter with a crisp jab.
Maximus keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hunt.
Maximus uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hunt.

Maximus clinches up with Hunt and pushes him back against the ropes.

Hunt wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Maximus has him pressed against the ropes.

Maximus is looking to control Hunt's arms but Hunt gets an underhook and turns him. Now Maximus has his back to the ropes.

Hunt wants to get back to striking at distance but Maximus won't allow it.
Maximus keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hunt's efforts to push away.

Maximus struggles to land a body shot inside as Hunt controls his hands.
Maximus tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hunt's elbow.
Hunt wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Hunt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Maximus lands a nice looking body kick.
That kick from Maximus tenderised Hunt's leg. Hunt is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hunt stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Hunt has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Maximus.

Hunt fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Maximus chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hunt can pounce on him.
Maximus lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hunt takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Maximus moves out of range of the body kick from Hunt.
Maximus scores with a nice head shot.
Hunt lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Hunt cracks the inside of Maximus's front leg.
Maximus blocks a low kick nicely.
Nice defenses there by Maximus.
A swing and a miss from Hunt.
Maximus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A looping hook to the body misses from Maximus. Hunt does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hunt is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Maximus.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Maximus thuds a left hand into Hunt's body.
Maximus throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hunt.
Maximus on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Naughtius Maximus will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Maximus walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Maximus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hunt manages to avoid it.

Maximus throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hunt lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maximus has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maximus and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Hunt throws a hook to the side of Maximus's head but Maximus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Hunt is rocked!
Maximus creates a bit of distance and cracks Hunt with a big uppercut! Hunt goes down! The referee pushes Maximus away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Hunt make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! Maximus takes it!
