The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Claus takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Johnson rushes Claus and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Johnson lands an elbow just above Claus 's eye.
It looks like Wandy Claus has been cut.
Johnson gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Johnson utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Claus has Johnson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Johnson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Claus takes an elbow to the temple.
Johnson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Johnson lands an elbow inside.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A nice glancing elbow lands by Johnson.
That has opened up Wandy Claus's cut even more.
Claus is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Johnson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
John Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wandy Claus.
Claus takes an elbow to the forehead.
Johnson lands an elbow that stopped Claus in his tracks for a moment.
The cut above Wandy Claus's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Nice elbow from Johnson.
Wandy Claus's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Johnson lands a good knee to the midsection. Claus won't want to take too many of those.
Johnson drops Claus with a big knee straight up the middle! Claus is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Claus is rocked!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Wandy Claus's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). John Johnson!
John Johnson spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
