Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Oscar Bergman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kristan Maruyama! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bergman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bergman wants it to stay on the feet. A head kick misses from Maruyama. Maruyama clinches. Bergman is trying to stall.
Bergman seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Maruyama is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment. Maruyama decides to pull guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Maruyama working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bergman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bergman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bergman wants to control from the top but Maruyama keeps moving. Maruyama had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bergman defends it easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Maruyama has his foot on Bergman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bergman works his way back into a safe position though. Maruyama is looking for a triangle but Bergman pushes his legs off easily.

Maruyama is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bergman is aware though and is defending well. Maruyama controls Bergman momentarily but Bergman frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maruyama had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bergman defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bergman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maruyama has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bergman has managed to get both his arms back between Maruyama's legs - danger averted. Maruyama looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Maruyama has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bergman should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Maruyama has tightened it up now! Bergman should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
