Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mongolia Heed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yasser Arafat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arafat has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Mongolia Heed has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mongolia Heed! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yasser Arafat! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arafat misses with a looping left. Heed misses with a takedown attempt and Arafat counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Arafat throws a right and a left that both miss. Heed takes one to the chin there. Arafat will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Heed gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Arafat. Heed shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Arafat pinned against the cage. Arafat gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Arafat displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Heed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mongolia Heed. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Arafat. No joy for Heed on that attempt. Heed tries for a takedown but Arafat sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Arafat misses the jab. Arafat bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heed moves away from the strike by Arafat. Heed looks for a takedown but Arafat sprawls well. Arafat tests Heed's chin there with a solid looking shot. Heed looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Arafat is fending him off so far but Heed persists. Nope, Arafat circles away and we're back to standing. Arafat defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Heed.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Heed shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Heed showed some decent athleticism there. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Heed thows a huge punch but Arafat dodges it nicely.
Heed is pressing down on Arafat's thigh, looking to free his foot. Arafat is holding on for now. Heed seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Arafat does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Arafat is pressing down on Heed's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Arafat can do anything to dispel that myth. Heed wants to control from the top but Arafat keeps moving. Heed working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Heed working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Arafat's head. Arafat utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Heed is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Arafat is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Heed is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Heed wants to control from the top but Arafat keeps moving. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Heed tries to free his leg and advance position but Arafat is retaining full guard. Heed stops Arafat from standing up. Heed trying to control the position from guard on top but Arafat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mongolia Heed. Heed shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Arafat but Arafat pushes him off and we're back to square one. Heed fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Heed shoots for a double leg takedown but Arafat sprawls well. He's pushed Heed's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mongolia Heed dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Arafat stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Arafat wants it to stay on the feet. Arafat waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Heed. Arafat jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Heed misses with a takedown and Arafat counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Heed takes one to the chin there. Arafat defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Heed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mongolia Heed. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arafat cracks Heed with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Sloppy strikes from Arafat. Those never looked like landing. Arafat lands a jab to Heed's midsection. Heed shoots in but no luck this time. Heed fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Arafat sprawls well initially but Heed persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Heed thows a huge punch but Arafat dodges it nicely.
Heed landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Heed passes the guard and advances to mount! Heed lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heed lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Poor strikes thrown by Heed there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Heed throws some wild stikes that Arafat manages to avoid easily.
Heed punching from mount but Arafat doing a good job of avoiding damage. Heed breaks from Arafat's wrist control and lands an elbow. Arafat is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Heed tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Heed throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Arafat because Heed loaded up on that one. Heed throws some wild stikes that Arafat manages to avoid easily.
Mongolia Heed overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Arafat tries to hold on but Heed postures up. Heed controlling his opponent. Heed working the ground and pound effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Heed landing strikes from the mount.
Arafat is rocked! Heed postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Arafat in real trouble here! The ref calls for Arafat to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mongolia Heed!
