Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sho Goon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sho Goon is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Goon. No joy for Thomas on that attempt.
A low kick from Thomas is predictable there
and Goon counters with a low kick, right behind Thomas 's knee.
Thomas shoots for a takedown but Goon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Thomas scores with a takedown into Goon's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Thomas is looking to stand up but Goon won't let him.
Thomas gets to his feet - Goon follows without any prompting.

and Thomas counters with a shoot takedown. Goon fights it but they end up in guard.
Goon is looking to stand up but Thomas isn't so interested in that idea.
Thomas stands up and waves to Goon to follow him.

Thomas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Goon sprawls well initially but Thomas persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Goon is breathing heavily.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Roy Thomas wasn't active enough on the ground.
Goon leaves Thomas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sho Goon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Thomas.

Goon swats away the attempt to clinch by Thomas.

Thomas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Thomas creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Goon sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Thomas just content to control the position.
Thomas's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Goon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Thomas stands up and we're back to a striking position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Goon counters with a solid body kick.
Goon has a takedown stuffed.
Thomas thows a body kick. Goon tries to catch it but that hurt him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Thomas is looking to slow Goon down with leg kicks.
Goon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Goon wants it to stay on the feet.
Thomas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Thomas decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Thomas was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Thomas won't let Goon get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Thomas fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Goon avoids it really well and circles away.
Thomas feints and as Goon raises his hands in defense, Thomas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thomas cracks Goon with a solid left hand.

Roy Thomas has got the better of the ground game so far.
Thomas is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Goon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Thomas.

Goon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thomas's waist but Thomas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Goon off to one side.

Thomas is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Goon is just riding it out for now. Thomas eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Thomas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well Thomas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
