Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Austin Kingman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ping Pong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Austin Kingman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ping Pong!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pong with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kingman to score with a decent uppercut.


It looks like Ping Pong has been cut.

Pong throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Kingman stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Pong follows into mount!


Kingman is rocked!


It looks like Austin Kingman has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pong trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Oh Kingman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kingman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pong on the ground.
Kingman is looking to improve his position but Pong isn't that keen on the idea.
Kingman in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Pong looking to control but Kingman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kingman tries to lock up and control but Pong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Pong sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Kingman is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Kingman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kingman seems to have got his legs back now.
Kingman wants to get back to his feet.
Pong wants to control the pace but Kingman is squirming around nicely.
Kingman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kingman tries to get out of the position.
Kingman tries to hold on but Pong pushes him away.

Poor strikes thrown by Pong there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Kingman tries to hold on but Pong postures up.
Pong controlling the position easily from mount.
Kingman tries to lock up and control but Pong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Pong can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kingman is looking to escape.
Kingman really wants to buck Pong off and get back to his feet.
Kingman is trying desperately to improve position.
Pong trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Pong prevents Kingman from getting the reversal.
Kingman manages to regain half guard. Good work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kingman wants to get back to full guard.
Kingman is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kingman is controlling Pong's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Pong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kingman keeps working.
Pong wants to stand up but Kingman has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Pong sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kingman defending well though.
Kingman is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Pong looks to land a combination but Kingman avoids it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pong misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pong keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Pong drops his hands momentarily and Kingman takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Pong throws a nice looking combination but Kingman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pong looks winded!

Kingman lands a big right hand that sends Pong crashing to the mat! Kingman stays standing though and waves Pong back to his feet!


Pong is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kingman throws a hook to the side of Pong's head but Pong sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Pong is still on wobbly legs! Can Kingman finish him?
Pong moves out of range of the strikes.
Kingman throws a looping overhand right but Pong ducks down to avoid it.
Pong misses with a body kick.
Kingman throws the left hand but Pong avoids the punch easily.
Kingman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Pong closes the distance but Kingman moves to the side
and Kingman counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Pong out cold! What a finish! Kingman is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Austin Kingman!
Austin Kingman really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that STEEL PENN'S 160 OF STEEL $50 Hilo logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
