Palhares shoots in but no luck this time.
Palhares shoots for a takedown but Butcher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Palhares dives in and grabs Butcher's left leg, looking for a takedown. Butcher pushes down on Palhares's head and hops out.
Butcher punishes Palhares's body with a nice straight punch.
Butcher ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Butcher connects with an inside leg kick.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Palhares. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Butcher scores with a sloppy right hand. Palhares should have avoided that one.
Butcher connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Palhares is rocked!

Palhares walks straight into a right hand from Butcher - that's dropped him! Butcher jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Palhares from any more punishment! Palhares complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
