Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Stickler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon Stickler acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edwin Jordan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Simon Stickler !
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordan tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Stickler decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jordan's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Stickler wants to pass the guard but Jordan is keeping the position.
Stickler postures up.
Stickler is pushing down on Jordan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jordan is fighting to maintain full guard but Stickler has managed to sneak the leg through.
Stickler is keen to just control but Jordan is a slippery customer.
Jordan regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Stickler .

Stickler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jordan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stickler has managed to get both his arms back between Jordan's legs - danger averted.
Stickler postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Stickler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jordan is looking for a triangle but Stickler pushes his legs off easily.

Jordan looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Stickler passes into half guard.

Jordan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stickler pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jordan tries to roll over but Stickler keeps him under control.
Stickler wants to take a breather but Jordan is having none of it.

Jordan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stickler pulls his head out easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stickler connects with a nice short shot to Jordan's temple.

Jordan wants to control but Stickler is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jordan is desperately trying to improve his position but Stickler has a good base and remains in mount.
Jordan wants to hold on but Stickler pushes him away.
Jordan is looking to improve his position but Stickler isn't that keen on the idea.

Jordan is trying desperately to improve position.
Stickler is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Stickler breaks from Jordan's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Jordan wants to control but Stickler is having none of it.
Oh Jordan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stickler postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jordan looks a forlorn figure.
Jordan tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Jordan is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Jordan seems to have got his legs back now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stickler can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jordan is looking to escape.
Stickler blocks Jordan's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stickler scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jordan?
Jordan wants to hold on but Stickler pushes him away.
Jordan gets back to half guard.

Jordan is trying to control but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Stickler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jordan keeps working.

Jordan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Stickler scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Stickler remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Jordan can't do much from the bottom here.

Stickler is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Jordan parries the strikes from Stickler easily there. Stickler is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jordan to escape.

Stickler passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jordan!
Stickler wants to control the pace but Jordan is squirming around nicely.
Stickler has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jordan's face.
Jordan is squirming around, avoiding Stickler 's attempts to control the action.
Jordan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Jordan wants to hold on but Stickler pushes him away.
Stickler lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jordan is looking to get to half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stickler postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Jordan bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Stickler and the fight is over!
