Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aram Velazquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Teddy Eaton!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velazquez tries to clinch up but Eaton circles away and keeps his distance.
A head kick misses from Eaton.
Velazquez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Eaton circles away.
Eaton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Velazquez on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Velazquez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Eaton.

Eaton looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Velazquez!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Eaton is working for a guillotine from mount but Velazquez frees his head quite easily.
Velazquez avoids a series of strikes thrown by Eaton.

Teddy Eaton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Velazquez just misses with a elbow thrown towards Eaton's brow.

Eaton jumps into guard, dragging Velazquez to the mat.
Eaton seems keen to control Velazquez's posture.
Velazquez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Eaton has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Aram Velazquez just wasn't active enough.
Velazquez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Eaton tries to avoid it but Velazquez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Eaton to the ground. Eaton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Velazquez shoots in for a takedown but Eaton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Eaton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Velazquez is fending him off so far but Eaton persists. Nope, Velazquez circles away and we're back to standing.

Well Eaton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
