McNamara comes to the cage accompanied by Massive Attack - Teardrop (House M.D.). Doestevsky is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: New Divide. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Samuel Doestevsky!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McNamara moves into the clinch.

McNamara breaks the clinch.
McNamara fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Doestevsky avoids it really well and circles away.
Doestevsky fails in his attempt to clinch.
McNamara shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Doestevsky eats them both and turns towards McNamara to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Doestevsky looking to score a takedown here. McNamara is defending well but Doestevsky drives through and ends up in McNamara's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

McNamara scrambles and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Doestevsky fails with a takedown attempt.
Doestevsky tries for a takedown but McNamara sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
McNamara throws a right and a left that Doestevsky avoids nicely.
No luck for Doestevsky with that takedown attempt.
Sean McNamara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Doestevsky.

McNamara moves into the clinch.

McNamara jumps guard.
McNamara keeping moving, preventing Doestevsky from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Doestevsky is looking to advance position but McNamara has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Doestevsky is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
McNamara looking to control and managing it successfully.
McNamara scores with a couple of good head shots there.
McNamara controlling the position easily from mount.
McNamara working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Doestevsky slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.

Doestevsky tries to get to full guard but McNamara has control of the leg.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sean McNamara wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Doestevsky doesn't succeed with the takedown
and McNamara counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McNamara throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McNamara misses with a two punch combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Doestevsky.
McNamara misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
McNamara misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McNamara fails with a takedown attempt.
Doestevsky shoots in but no luck this time.

McNamara looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Doestevsky moves in looking to clinch but McNamara pushes him off.

Doestevsky manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McNamara on his heels. He'll look to pass McNamara's guard now, I'm sure.
Doestevsky trying to control the position from guard on top but McNamara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Doestevsky working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Doestevsky throws an elbow that misses. McNamara uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Doestevsky's guard. Nice move by McNamara!

Doestevsky controls McNamara momentarily but McNamara frees himself.

McNamara controlling from the top position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Doestevsky looking for a sweep. Not yet Doestevsky, not yet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
McNamara gets in close and tags Doestevsky with a short punch that almost sends Doestevsky to the mat! Oh Doestevsky is in big trouble! He turns his back on McNamara, trying to create some distance but McNamara rushes him, striking wildly and Doestevsky goes down! The referee tackles McNamara into the cage to end the fight! McNamara is one violent man!
