Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marlo Froch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Froch's entrance music is Can't be touched. A fine choice. Charles has chosen Don't Fake the Funk by Prince Charles as his entrance music. Marlo Froch could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Henry Charles's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marlo Froch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Charles! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Froch digs a good hook to Charles's body.
Charles is looking to clinch but Froch is avoiding it.
Froch tries to clinch up. Charles checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Charles fails in his attempt to clinch. Froch bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Froch lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Charles circles away quickly and effectively. Froch ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Charles moves away. Froch throws a right hand that Charles ducks under and follows up with a left that Charles also avoids with ease. Froch misses with a body kick. Charles throws a hook but Froch blocks it. Froch throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Charles throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Froch stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Charles throws a one two combo.
Froch tries to clinch but Charles moves out of range. Froch misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Charles misses the shot to the body. The fighters circling - Charles throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Froch misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Charles takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Froch throws a chopping leg kick but Charles manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Charles tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Froch is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Froch lands a front kick. Nice shot by Charles. Charles lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Froch misses the target. Charles throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Charles darts in trying to clinch and Froch counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Charles thinking. Charles bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Froch's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Charles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Froch moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Froch tries to clinch but Charles moves out of range. Froch tries to bum rush Charles with a series of wild strikes but Charles uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Froch throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fight stays on the outside here - Froch looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Froch lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Froch misses with a wild combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Charles throws out a loose jab but Froch uses good head movement to avoid it. Charles misses with a lunging right hand
and Froch counters with a straight right hand. Froch throws a low kick, looking for Charles's leg but Charles calmly moves out of range. Froch's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Charles connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Froch scrambles back to his feet. Froch throws a nice looking combination but Charles bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Froch throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Charles. Froch keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Henry Charles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Froch swings widly with a right hand
and Charles connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Charles misses with the combination.

Charles is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Froch works the jab nicely. Froch with a nice cross. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A head kick misses from Froch. Charles just misses with a punch to the body.

and Froch counters with a three punch combo that has Charles backing up. Charles nods at Froch to acknowledge the strikes. Charles digs a good hook to Froch's body.
Charles throws a right and a left that Froch avoids nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Charles with a nice cross. Froch staying out of range there. Froch on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Marlo Froch will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Froch walks into a straight right hand from Charles. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Charles lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Froch at a distance.

and Froch counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Sloppy strikes from Froch. Those never looked like landing. Charles feints a jab promting Froch to slip. Charles then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Froch slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Froch ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Froch looks to land a combination but Charles avoids it well. Froch misses with a looping right. Froch uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Charles.

Froch is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Charles lands a nice hook to Froch's body. Froch takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Charles misses with a series of wild punches.

Henry Charles showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Froch fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Charles, pushing him back against the cage. Froch on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Charles lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Charles lands an elbow inside that Froch shrugs off. Froch escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jab from Charles. Charles throws a nice outside leg kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Charles. Froch does a little dance to reset his feet. Froch fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Charles has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Charles throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Charles jabs Froch right on the nose. Froch blinks but takes it well. Charles cracks a nice hook into Froch's ribs. Froch fails to land with a series of punches.
Charles fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Froch looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Charles moves in looking to clinch but Froch pushes him off. Charles lands a right hook to the body.

Charles sizes up Froch with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Charles scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Froch doesn't seem bothered though. Froch throws a combination that misses and Charles counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Charles takes a shot right to the bread basket. Froch looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Froch throws a body kick that misses and Charles counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Froch swinging wildly here.

And that's the end of the fight! Henry Charles comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Charles has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
