Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Calculus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sho Shinjo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinjo has chosen Theme of Sho as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenny Calculus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sho Shinjo! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calculus tried to score with a low kick but Shinjo checks it. Calculus tries to score with a low kick but Shinjo moves his leg out of the way. Calculus throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shinjo. Shinjo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Calculus napping and manages to drive through into side control! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Calculus tries to escape but Shinjo is in control. Calculus struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Calculus wants to get back to his feet but Shinjo drags him back down. Shinjo misses with the ground and pound. Shinjo working the strikes but Calculus uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Shinjo not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ground and pound from Shinjo. Shinjo wants to control but Calculus is keeping him busy. Shinjo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Shinjo stops Calculus from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ground and pound from Shinjo. Calculus is trying to stand up here but Shinjo is controlling him well. Shinjo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Calculus defending well though. Shinjo is trying to control. Calculus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Shinjo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Calculus avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Shinjo. Shinjo wants to free his trapped foot but Calculus is holding on for dear life with his legs. Calculus regains full guard. Nicely done. Shinjo postures up and lands a big shot to Calculus's brow. Shinjo trying to control but Calculus is working from the bottom. Calculus trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Shinjo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shinjo throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Calculus keeping moving, preventing Shinjo from controlling successfully. Shinjo is looking to work some ground and pound but Calculus has wrist control. Shinjo wants to stand but Calculus is controlling his posture from full guard. Calculus keeping moving, preventing Shinjo from controlling successfully. Shinjo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Calculus is keeping the position for now. Shinjo trying to control the position from guard on top but Calculus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sho Shinjo has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Shinjo misses with a left hand and Calculus counters with a leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shinjo loads up on a big right hand but Calculus slips the punch. Jab, jab by Shinjo - just one landing. Shinjo avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Shinjo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Shinjo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sho Shinjo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shinjo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Calculus cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Shinjo takes one to the side of the head.
Calculus throws a half hearted mid kick. Shinjo blocks a leg kick. Shinjo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Shinjo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shinjo ducks under a wild hook from Calculus.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Calculus looks to throw the jab but Shinjo is out of range. Shinjo defending well as Calculus loads up on a big left hand. Calculus throws a nice outside leg kick. Calculus misses with a straight right. Shinjo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Calculus's head. Shinjo misses with a body shot.
Shinjo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Calculus on the side of the head. Calculus's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shinjo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Calculus scrambles back to his feet. Shinjo avoids the body shot from Calculus.
A lazy left from Shinjo finds it's target. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Shinjo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shinjo dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Calculus takes a swing at Shinjo's ribcage but misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sho Shinjo dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Shinjo just misses with a punch to the body.
Shinjo shoots in looking for a takedown. Calculus tries to sprawl out of it but Shinjo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Calculus manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Shinjo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Calculus. Shinjo misses with a hook. Calculus swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Shinjo lands a slapping body shot.
Calculus misses with an attempted mid kick.
Shinjo looks to land a combination but Calculus avoids it well. Calculus takes a swing at Shinjo's ribcage but misses. Shinjo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Calculus moves away. Kenny Calculus is winning the standup battle so far. Calculus misses with a jab, cross combination.
Calculus throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Shinjo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calculus fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. A decent looking cross lands there for Shinjo. A looping hook to the body misses from Shinjo. Calculus does a little dance to reset his feet. A jab from Calculus misses. Shinjo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Calculus manages to avoid it. Calculus displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shinjo throws out the jab. Calculus throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Calculus bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Shinjo throws a jab but it's blocked by Calculus. Shinjo cracks a nice hook into Calculus's ribs. Calculus throws a lazy uppercut
and Shinjo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Calculus misses with a body shot.
Shinjo thows a left - swing and a miss! Shinjo clobbers Calculus with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Kenny Calculus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Calculus lands with a hook. Shinjo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Calculus lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Shinjo backs up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A telegraphed right hand from Calculus misses the target. Shinjo dips to his left and cracks Calculus with an uppercut! Calculus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Shinjo defending well as Calculus loads up on a big left hand. Calculus thuds a left hand into Shinjo's body. Calculus throws a hook to the side of Shinjo's head but Shinjo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Shinjo connects with a nice looking jab.
Shinjo has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Left hook, right uppercut from Calculus. Kenny Calculus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Shinjo misses the shot to the body. Shinjo feints and as Calculus raises his hands in defense, Shinjo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Calculus is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Shinjo dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shinjo trying to control the position but Calculus is working away. Calculus wants to get back to his feet. Shinjo cracks Calculus with an elbow. That is naaassty. Shinjo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Calculus knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Shinjo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Calculus is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Shinjo is working Calculus over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shinjo is working to tighten is grip on Calculus's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Calculus has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Shinjo is really squeezing tight and eventually Calculus passes out! Shinjo breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Sho Shinjo! In his post fight interview, Sho Shinjo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
