Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Thromonavich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blanco Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thromonavich comes to the cage accompanied by Angel of Death - Slayer. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mikhail Thromonavich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blanco Green!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green misses with a wild body shot.

Thromonavich closes the distance and clinches.
Thromonavich content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Thromonavich is pressed up against the cage. Green has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thromonavich down to the mat. Thromonavich avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Green takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Thromonavich lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Thromonavich looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Green wants to sweep but no luck.
Green is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Green throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Thromonavich pushes Green off looking to stand but Green dives back in and keeps control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Green thows a huge punch but Thromonavich dodges it nicely.

Thromonavich is trying to control but can't.
Green has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Green thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thromonavich's head.
Green stops Thromonavich from getting back to his feet.
Thromonavich is staying active underneath Green, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Thromonavich bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Green's guard.

Green looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Thromonavich passes into side control.

Thromonavich is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Green manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Green is working for a kimura but Thromonavich is defending it quite comfortably.
Green seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Green has gone for a leg lock! Thromonavich slips out almost immediately though and dives into Green's guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Green is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Green gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Thromonavich here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Thromonavich feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

I would just about give that final round to Blanco Green.
Well Thromonavich has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
