Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil DeBlunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Snow Crash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeBlunt kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Westside Connection - Bow Down. Snow Crash acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phil DeBlunt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Snow Crash! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeBlunt changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Crash is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
DeBlunt works over Crash's head and body with a nice combination. A looping hook to the body misses from DeBlunt. Crash does a little dance to reset his feet. DeBlunt jabbing away but nothing is landing. The fighters circling - DeBlunt throws out the jab but it was never going to land. DeBlunt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Crash. DeBlunt keeps the fight on the outside. DeBlunt steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Crash. DeBlunt takes a swing at Crash's ribcage but misses. Crash swings away with a leg kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crash shoots in but DeBlunt avoids the takedown attempt easily. DeBlunt displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Crash throws the kick towards the body but DeBlunt avoids it. DeBlunt misses with a left hand and Crash counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. DeBlunt wants to improve his position but Crash is controlling well.
Crash landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! DeBlunt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. DeBlunt blocking the ground and pound attempt from Crash. DeBlunt regains full guard. Nicely done. Crash wants to pass the guard but DeBlunt is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crash wants to control from the top but DeBlunt keeps moving. Crash throwing strikes but missing. DeBlunt keeping full guard, as Crash tries to pass. Crash chips away with some ground and pound. Crash working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. DeBlunt tries to land a sweep but no joy. Crash trying to control the position from guard on top but DeBlunt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Crash is in close to DeBlunt's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crash throws a big elbow that misses. Crash scores with a decent looking elbow strike. DeBlunt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Crash is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. DeBlunt controls Crash momentarily but Crash frees himself. DeBlunt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Crash is one step ahead there. Crash throwing strikes but missing. DeBlunt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crash is trying to get back to full guard. Crash won't allow DeBlunt to pass to mount. Crash manages to get to full guard.
DeBlunt preventing the sweep. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! DeBlunt wants to control from the top but Crash keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Snow Crash dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Crash uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by DeBlunt.
DeBlunt thows a body shot but no joy. Crash defending well as DeBlunt loads up on a big left hand. DeBlunt slips under a jab. DeBlunt misses with a looping left. Good standup being displayed there by DeBlunt as he connects with a hook. Crash shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in DeBlunt's guard. Crash postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. DeBlunt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Crash controls the pace. Crash trying to control but DeBlunt is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crash throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Crash wants to control from the top but DeBlunt keeps moving. DeBlunt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Crash lands a couple of elbows. Crash is in close to DeBlunt's body, working some short punches and elbows. DeBlunt keeping full guard, as Crash tries to pass. Crash trying to control but DeBlunt is working from the bottom. Crash tries to free his leg and advance position but DeBlunt is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crash postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. DeBlunt working for a triangle but Crash defends it easily.
Crash trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Crash stopping the sweep attempt from DeBlunt. Crash makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. DeBlunt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Crash is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Crash throwing strikes from guard but DeBlunt blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crash working some strikes from top position. Crash trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but DeBlunt manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Crash had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. DeBlunt defends it easily. Crash is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. DeBlunt trying to stand up but can't free himself from Crash's guard. DeBlunt is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crash is trying to keep DeBlunt in close.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crash is on top in guard.
DeBlunt is working an open guard so Crash takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Crash has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Crash slips a straight right by DeBlunt. DeBlunt looks to land a right hand but Crash moved out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Crash on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. DeBlunt tries to keep at a distance but Crash has taken the fight into the clinch. Crash tries a body shot but DeBlunt blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Snow Crash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
DeBlunt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Crash manages to avoid it. Crash shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts DeBlunt as he jumps to the side. DeBlunt scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Crash takes one to the side of the head.
A cross from DeBlunt lands. Crash looks to score with a jab to the body but DeBlunt is just out of range. DeBlunt catches Crash with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Phil DeBlunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed right hand from DeBlunt misses the target. Crash misses with an uppercut. DeBlunt saw that one coming.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeBlunt throws a hook but Crash avoids it easily. Phil DeBlunt is winning the standup battle so far. Crash throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck DeBlunt on the side of the head.
It looks like Phil DeBlunt has been cut. Crash drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Crash working the body and head with strikes. Crash in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crash looks up at the clock and then as DeBlunt takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Crash smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Crash tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Crash has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! DeBlunt tries to bench press Crash off him but Crash keeps the position. Snow Crash is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeBlunt is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Crash has just dragged him back down to the mat. Snow Crash has got the better of the ground game so far. The referee asks Crash politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Crash prefers to stall for the moment though. DeBlunt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Crash wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Crash working the body and head with strikes. Crash is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt DeBlunt will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. DeBlunt wants to get back to his feet but Crash drags him back down. Crash has knee on belly and moves into mount. DeBlunt tries to hold on but Crash pushes him away. Crash controlling his opponent. Crash scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crash looking to control and managing it successfully. DeBlunt is in a horrible position here. Crash smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Crash landing strikes, looking to finish! DeBlunt is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Crash takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Crash working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crash controlling the position easily from mount. Phil DeBlunt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Crash has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. DeBlunt is trying desperately to improve position. DeBlunt is working hard here to advance position. DeBlunt is squirming around, avoiding Crash's attempts to control the action. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! DeBlunt in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. DeBlunt is trying desperately to improve position. Crash content just to control the position here.
And that's the end of the fight! Snow Crash comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Crash winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
