PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fridtjof Jarlsberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lex Scrappy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fridtjof Jarlsberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lex Scrappy!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scrappy throws the kick towards the body but Jarlsberg avoids it.
Scrappy misses with a body kick.
Jarlsberg avoids a kick to the body.
Scrappy throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jarlsberg tries for a takedown but Scrappy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jarlsberg shoots in but Scrappy avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Scrappy tries a head kick but it misses.
Jarlsberg moves out of range as Scrappy throws a body kick.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jarlsberg not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Scrappy keeping moving, preventing Jarlsberg from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jarlsberg is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Scrappy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jarlsberg is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Scrappy sees it coming and defends easily.

Jarlsberg is trying to control. Scrappy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Jarlsberg is working to tighten is grip on Scrappy's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Scrappy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jarlsberg is really squeezing tight and eventually Scrappy passes out! Jarlsberg breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
